Featured Training Classes

Boxing Fundamentals:

Participants will be introduced to basic boxing stances, footwork, punches, and defensive maneuvers. Emphasis will be placed on proper technique and form to minimize the risk of injury.

Mitt Work:

One-on-one mitt work with participants. This allows participants to practice their punches, combinations, technique, and defensive moves with a focus on precision and accuracy.

Cardio Conditioning:

Boxing is an excellent cardiovascular workout, classes will incorporate various drills and exercises to improve endurance, stamina, and overall fitness to improve cardio.

Self-Defense Skills:

In addition to the physical benefits, the program will also include modules on self-defense techniques, empowering participants with practical skills to protect themselves.

Boxing Classes

HIIT Boxing Class (High-Intensity Interval Training Boxing):

HIIT stands for High-Intensity Interval Training, and it’s a workout technique that alternates between intense bursts of exercise and short periods of rest. HIIT workouts are known for their effectiveness in burning calories and improving cardiovascular fitness.

In the HIIT boxing class, participants engage in boxing-inspired exercises combined with high-intensity interval training. These classes typically involve a mix of punching, footwork, and bodyweight exercises performed at maximum effort for short intervals, followed by brief periods of recovery. The combination of boxing techniques and HIIT can provide an intense full-body workout, help build strength and endurance.

Technical Boxing

Technical boxing refers to the aspects of boxing that emphasize skill, strategy, and precision rather than brute force alone. It involves using proper technique, footwork, defensive manoeuvres, and combinations to outwit and out manoeuvre opponents.

 

In technical boxing, fighters focus on the following key aspects:

Footwork: Proper footwork is crucial in boxing. It allows a fighter to maintain balance, move in and out of range, and create angles to land effective punches while avoiding opponents’ attacks.

Defense: Technical boxers rely on defensive techniques like slipping, ducking, blocking, and parrying to avoid incoming punches. They aim to minimize the damage received while conserving energy.

Punching technique: Technical boxers prioritize proper punching form to generate power and accuracy. Common punches include the jab, cross, hook, and uppercut. They aim to deliver punches with precision and timing to exploit opponents’ openings.

Combinations: Technical boxers often use combinations of punches, where they link different punches together to create openings in the opponent’s defense and increase the likelihood of landing clean shots.

Counterpunching: Technical boxers excel at capitalizing on their opponent’s mistakes by employing counterpunching techniques. They anticipate an opponent’s attack and respond with quick and accurate counters.
